On 1 April 2025, the conference entitled "Public Administrations and the Challenges of Demographic and Social Change" was held in the Assembly Hall of the Regional Ministry of Finance and Economy.
The conference, organised by the Regional Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Generalitat Valenciana, brought together leading experts to discuss the current challenges facing public administrations in relation to demographics, income, life expectancy and other crucial social aspects.
During the day, Block III featured presentations by Diego Muñoz Higueras and Georgina Solaz Moreno, both EvalPub researchers, who addressed the topic ‘Poverty reduction and social inclusion policies’.
In addition to this block, other highly relevant topics were discussed, such as the impact of the low birth rate, the ageing of the population, migration policies and the fight against depopulation. The day concluded with a speech by the Regional Minister of Finance and Economy.
This event contributed to the exchange of ideas and the development of proposals to improve public management in a context of social and demographic change.
