The two researchers from EvalPub participated in the VII GestionAES Workshop held at the La Fe Hospital in Valencia, reinforcing the collaboration between university and health management.

The La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital in Valencia hosted the 7th Workshop organized by GestionAES in 2025, an event that brought together around fifty professionals from the healthcare and academic sectors. Among the attendees were Irene Bosch and María Ángeles Tortosa, researchers from the Public Economic Evaluation Research Group (EvalPub) at the University of Valencia, whose presence strengthened the university sector’s participation in these sessions focused on healthcare management.

The workshop was supported by the hospital’s management team and its director, José Luis Poveda Andrés, who provided institutional and logistical support for the event.

The participation of the two EvalPub members reflects the close collaboration between academia and healthcare institutions. During the event, the exchange of experiences and the creation of synergies with local groups were encouraged, both from universities (such as EvalPub at the University of Valencia and CIEGS-UPV at the Polytechnic University of Valencia) and with representatives from the Directorate General of Economic Affairs of the Valencian Regional Ministry of Health, especially through its Economic Analysis and Information Service. The connection with the Spanish Network of Hospital Costs (RECH) was also highlighted, with the aim of strengthening its database and advancing institutional cooperation within the healthcare management system.
