Edgar Perales has a degree in Economics. After completing the Master's Degree in Secondary and Baccalaureate Teacher Training in the speciality of Economics, he began to work as a secondary school teacher of this speciality in various Autonomous Communities (Aragon, Catalonia). He is currently a career civil servant with a permanent post at IES Font de Sant Lluís de València, where he is head of department of the speciality. He is also an associate lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Valencia. At the end of the Master in Economic Analysis he started the PhD programme in Social Sciences, focusing on the research area of Economics of Education. Her doctoral thesis is supervised by Professor Mauro Mediavilla. Specifically, her line of research focuses on the analysis of educational competences.
