Marta R. Casanova holds a PhD in Economics and is Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Valencia. She is a member of the Chair of Autonomous Taxation at the University of Valencia and a member of the Public Economic Evaluation research group (EvalPub). Her research focuses on regional economics, environmental economics, and economic geography and has published in various scientific journals, such as Papers in Regional Science and Journal of Geographical Systems. She has participated as a researcher in European projects, financed by the European Commission, in national projects, financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and in regional projects, financed by the Generalitat Valenciana. And she has made stays at universities and research centres in Canada, Germany and Slovenia.
