The V Workshop on Public Policy Evaluation will be held on Thursday and Friday 18 and 19 April 2024, with the aim of presenting research related to public evaluation applied to different fields, as well as generating debate around it.

The presentation day will start on Thursday 18 April at 16:00 in the Ignasi Villalonga Villalba Room of the Faculty of Economics (first floor). The workshop will begin with an opening ceremony. This will be followed by a first panel on wealth taxation, moderated by Rafael Granell (UV) and formed by Santiago Díaz de Sarralde (CIAT, Univ. Rey Juan Carlos), Alejandro Esteller (IEB, Univ. Barcelona) and Rubén Amo (Evalpub, Univ. València). This will be followed by a second panel on efficiency and quality of public services, moderated by Teresa Savall (UV) and formed by José Manuel Cordero (Univ. Extremadura), Joseba Zalakin (SIIS, Foundation Eguía Careaga) and Georgina Solaz (EvalPub, Univ. València).

The second day of the workshop will consist of two more panels. At 9:30h the panel on the economics of education will take place, moderated by Mauro Mediavilla (UV) and formed by Iván Vicente (Univ. València), Jenifer Ruiz (Univ. Barcelona and London School of Economics) and Gisela Rusteholz (Evalpub, Univ. València). The last panel of the workshop will deal with taxes, benefits and the labour market and will be formed by Fernando Rodrigo (Univ. Zaragoza), Ángel Martín (Univ. Valladolid) and Juan José Arnadillo (EvalPub, Univ. València). Finally, the workshop will be closed.

This meeting is part of the series of workshops organised by the EvalPub research group and the Chair of Regional Taxation of the University of Valencia, the Department of Applied Economics of the Faculty of Economics (UV) and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Model (Generalitat Valenciana).
