EvalPub researchers present their work at the 6th Workshop on Public Policy Evaluation

The Workshop was held on 10 and 11 April at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia.

The Workshop was jointly organised by the Regional Taxation Chair and the research group EvalPub of the UV, the Department of Finance and Economics of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Department of Applied Economics of the Faculty of Economics of the UV.

In the VI Workshop on Public Policy Evaluation, the papers presented by EvalPub members were the following:

  • Bárbara López, Amadeo Fuenmayor: «Propuesta de un complemento salarial reembolsable en el IRPF. Diseño y resultados previos»
  • Anja Siegert, Rafael Granell, Francisco G. Morillas: «Teletrabajo y la brecha salarial de género a lo largo de la distribución salarial»
  • Edgar Perales, Mauro Mediavilla: «Efectos de la competencia personal, social y aprender a aprender en el rendimiento lector del alumnado español»
  • Georgina Solaz, Teresa Savall, Amadeo Fuenmayor: «Diversidad familiar y pobreza en España: evaluación de la eficacia del apoyo económico a la infancia y propuesta de reforma»
  • Rubén Amo, Rafael Granell, Amadeo Fuenmayor: «Cambios de comportamiento ante reformas del Impuesto sobre Sucesiones y Donaciones: el caso de la Comunitat Valenciana»

In addition, several members of the research group participated as moderators in the various panels. Rafael Granell moderated the panel on wealth taxation; Teresa Savall moderated the panel on public policies to support families and children; Mauro Mediavilla moderated the panel on the economics of education and Amadeo Fuenmayor moderated the panel on taxes, benefits and the labour market.

In this edition, the Workshop on Public Policy Evaluation counted with the participation of Juan Ramón Gallego, Director of the Department of Applied Economics of the University of Valencia, in the opening ceremony, and Inmaculada Domínguez, Director General of Taxes and Gambling of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Generalitat Valenciana, in the closing ceremony.
