Economics students visit ATV to learn firsthand about its work in inspection, tax control and fraud prevention.
On April 15, 21, 22, and 28, professors from the Chair of Regional Taxation at the University of Valencia organized a series of visits to the headquarters of the Valencian Tax Agency (ATV). Students and faculty members from the Public Sector Economics II course in the Economics and Economics-Law degree programs participated.
During the visits, ATV inspection and sub-inspection staff led the tours, providing a detailed explanation of the institution’s internal workings, its main areas of activity, and its functions. The various ways to access the tax administration and the specific aspects of working in the field of tax inspection were also discussed.
The activity placed particular emphasis on highlighting the ATV’s work in fraud prevention by promoting voluntary compliance with tax obligations, strengthening tax controls, and improving taxpayer services and information.
