The ceremony recognises, on an annual basis, individuals and organisations committed to education, children and the defence of children’s rights.
Mauro Mediavilla, a researcher with the EvalPub group, was invited to take part in the Nagrody Korczaka Gala, an annual ceremony held in Poland that recognises the work of individuals and organisations working on behalf of children in line with the values of Janusz Korczak, one of the most influential educators of the 20th century.
The award aims to promote Korczak’s educational ideas, defend children’s rights, recognise innovative projects in the field of education, and support individuals and organisations that help children, young people and families in difficult circumstances.
The gala is organised by the Korczak University – Academy of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the International Janusz Korczak Association. In recent years, the event has taken place at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, one of Poland’s most significant cultural venues dedicated to the history of Polish Jews.
The Korczak Awards Gala is a flagship event in the field of education and social action in Poland, recognising initiatives that are in line with Janusz Korczak’s humanist legacy and the active defence of children’s rights.
