Mauro Mediavilla has contributed as a reviewer to two UNESCO international reports on equity in educational funding.
UNESCO recently published two reports analyzing educational funding in Spain, in which Mauro Mediavilla, a researcher with the EvalPub research group, participated as a reviewer.
These reports address equity in funding at different stages of the education system. The first focuses on early childhood education and analyzes how resources are distributed at this crucial stage for early development. The second report examines funding in primary education and compulsory secondary education (ESO), highlighting mechanisms that can contribute to greater equality of opportunity.
It is worth noting that Spanish participation in this review process was limited, with only a small number of academics involved. In this context, Mauro Mediavilla’s contribution is particularly significant, as he is part of the group of experts who validated these international reports.
