The workshop took place on 5 September at the University of Costa Rica in San José (Costa Rica).
On 5 September, Mauro Mediavilla, a researcher at EvalPub, participated in the AEDE-ALC Workshop entitled ‘Context and challenges of education systems in times of change’, held at the University of Costa Rica.
Mauro spoke at the opening of the meeting as president of the Association of Education Economics and was part of the panel ‘Challenges for education in times of change’.
The workshop brought together researchers from different countries to discuss key issues in the economics of education. The opening ceremony also featured Yanira Xirinachs-Salazar, director of the School of Economics at the University of Costa Rica, while the closing ceremony was led by Milagro Saborío Rodríguez, director of the Institute for Research in Economic Sciences, and Luis Vargas-Montoya, professor at the School of Economics at the same university.
