Paula Ballester took part, alongside her thesis supervisor, Mauro Mediavilla, in the 34th Conference of the Association for the Economics of Education, held at the University of La Rioja in Logroño from 8 to 9 July 2026.

During the conference, they presented a paper linked to the second chapter of her doctoral thesis, which focuses on a comparative analysis of the efficiency of education systems in fostering creative thinking among pupils.

In addition, Mauro Mediavilla, a researcher at EvalPub and vice-president of the Association of Education Economics (AEDE), took part in the conference’s closing ceremony, sitting on the institutional panel alongside Leonor González Menorca, chair of the Plenary and deputy mayor for Institutional Relations and Citizen Participation at Logroño City Council, and Carmen Tovar Sánchez, president of the National Institute for Educational Evaluation.
