The project, which focuses on analysing the causes of dropout rates and low graduation rates in Basic Vocational Training, was presented on 5 May with the participation of the research team and representatives from the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Region of Murcia.
On 5 May, the first draft of the project “Study on the Efficiency of Basic Vocational Training in the Region of Murcia”, initiated by the European Society and Education Foundation, was presented.
The event was attended by members of the research team, comprising José García Clavel, Mauro Mediavilla, César Nebot Monferrer and Rafael López-Meseguer de Esteban. Also in attendance were representatives from the Regional Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Region of Murcia: Luis Quiñonero Ruiz, Director-General for Vocational Training, Special Education and Lifelong Learning, and M.ª del Mar Sánchez Rodríguez, Deputy Director-General for Vocational Training.
The project, which is expected to last one year, aims to analyse the causes of low graduation rates and high dropout rates in Basic Vocational Training, with the aim of providing evidence to improve public policies and promote the educational success of these students.
