Abstract
According to UNESCO, bullying may affect one in three students worldwide. The same report indicates that it affects 30.4% of girls and 34.8% of boys, which is consistent with the pre-existing idea that bullying is a more widespread phenomenon among boys. Furthermore, analysing by type of negative action, boys seem more likely to be victimised by any physical form of violence, by teasing or photographic cyberbullying, and among girls, social exclusion and cyberbullying through messages prevails.
