Abstract

In the Catalan context, there are many, very diverse summer programmes, promoted by actors of a very different nature (public, social and private offerings) and with different concerns and objectives, even with little cohesion. That is why we want to contribute to providing all these actors with a common language, a common framework of contrasted work strategies to balance the quality of the offer and amplify the current benefits and the impacts on the improvement of the participants’ competences as well as on the cohesion of the communities.

Objectives: To advance local public policy towards a scenario of universal guarantee of the right to summer leisure, which we are still far from achieving. During the summer, it must be possible to provide a social, educational and leisure response to all families, and from all social strata, and not only to allow access exclusively to those who can afford it.
