Rubén Amo, a researcher with the EvalPub group, has completed a three-month research stay at the KOF Swiss Economic Institute, affiliated with ETH Zurich (Switzerland).

The research stay, which took place between September and November 2025 as part of his doctoral studies, was supervised by Dr Isabel Martínez, researcher and director of the Inequality and Public Economics section at KOF, as well as professor in the Department of Management, Technology and Economics at ETH Zurich.

During his stay, Rubén Amo presented one of the papers that form part of his doctoral thesis at a seminar of the KOF doctoral programme, which allowed him to receive comments and contributions from the institute’s researchers.

The visit also allowed him to delve deeper into the use of innovative methodologies for assessing the impact of public policies related to wealth taxation and the taxation of wealth transfers through inheritance and gifts. In addition, it provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about the institutional and fiscal context of a federal country such as Switzerland.
