The presentation was part of the programme of the conference, held on 5 October in the Assembly Hall of the Petxina Cultural Sports Complex (Valencia).

The paper presented by our researcher, Diego Muñoz, was “Minimum Income in the European Union”. In his presentation, Diego began by analysing the historical evolution of minimum incomes and poverty in Europe. He then explains the European context of the RMI (Rentas Mínimas de Inserción) and the Non Take-Up.

This conference is organised by EAPN CV (European Anti-Poverty Network in the Valencian Community) as part of the EAPN SE Acceso Vital: The Non Take Up phenomenon. The aim of the event is to give minimum incomes the importance they deserve, and to defend this right in today’s democratic societies as a tool to fight poverty and social exclusion.

EAPN SE’s state project Detection and mobilisation of people eligible for the Minimum Living Income in a NON TAKE-UP situation has been funded by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.
